The 2025-26 Prospect Mountain ski season starts December 3

We have received about 6 plus inches of snow Tuesday the 2nd on top of the few that fell this weekend. And hopefully it will continue to snow through the afternoon and evening.

The lower green and blue trails will be snowmobile groomed. Coverage will be thin in places so leave your good skis at home!

The restaurant will be open with a limited menu tomorrow (e.g., soups , cookies, hot drinks), with a full selection by Thursday the 4th.

Here we go!

Prospect Mountain

Our Mission

In 2018, the Prospect Mountain Association (PMA), a 501(c)(3) community nonprofit organization based in Bennington, Vermont, was established to purchase, protect and operate Prospect Mountain, a Nordic recreational center in Woodford, Vermont. Prospect Mountain Association’s purpose is to support community health and wellbeing by providing groomed cross-country ski trails, snowshoe trails and programs for a diverse population in the Southern Vermont, Western Massachusetts and Eastern New York communities, and to promote and develop the sport of cross-country skiing through related educational activities for these communities.

Cross country skiing for all ages and skill levels in rural Vermont. Open daily 9-5 (or sundown) in season as conditions allow. Prospect Mountain Nordic is a cross country ski center located in Woodford, Vermont.

2025-26 SEASON PASSES NOW AVAILABLE

Mike White and Steve Whitham are doing their best American Gothic impersonation with skis and poles below and would like to remind everyone to buy their season pass now and take advantage of the September discount.

Passes can be purchased online with a credit card or you can download the mail-in form and send us your check. Just click on “Ticket Prices/Passes” to get started.

Mike and Steve have been busy fixing up our garage this off season. Thanks to Jack Miller for lending us his staging and providing new windows for our very tame deer on the second floor.

We have purchased a second grooming machine which will help us complete grooming faster and provide a backup in case of a breakdown. So our trails will be better than ever for your skiing pleasure.

We will announce the date of our annual work day soon sometime in September so stay tuned.

As always- thanks for your support.

Regards,
PMA Board
