08-09 Ski Season Calendar of Events


October 1, 2008: Season passes go on sale.

November 9, 2008: Youth Deer Hunting Day Kids under age 16 are allowed to hunt for deer today. Be careful in the woods!

November 15 - 30, 2008: Deer Hunting Season This is the popular firearms season. If you go into the woods, wear bright colors.

December 13, 2008: MAU High School Race high schools of southern Vermont will race at 10:00 am. Trails remain open to the public. Race is over by lunchtime.

December 31, 2008: Berkshire League Race high schools of western Massachusetts will race at 9:30 am. Trails remain open to the public. Race is over before lunchtime.postponed to 1/3/09.

January 10, 2009: BKL Youth Ski Race at 10:00 am, skiers age 13 & under.

January 10, 2009: Moonlight Dinner and Ski Tour buffet dinner in the Base Lodge followed with a ski tour by the light of the full moon. The evening concludes with warm drinks & desserts back in the Lodge.

February 7, 2009: BKL Youth Ski Race at 10:00 am, skiers age 13 & under.

February 14 & 15, 2009: USCSA Races collegiate ski races, skate and classical. Come cheer on your favorite teams! You'll enjoy the famous Valentines' Race: a 3-legged race with costumes! Spectators welcome. Trails remain open to public. SPECIAL EVENT: Citizen Race on Saturday, 9:00 am, 5K or 10K, freestyle, open to all skiers. You can do it!

February 22, 2009: SIDS Race to benefit the Sudden Infant Death Syndrome Foundation. Citizens' race open to everyone. Age groups, prizes.

March 7, 2009: Moonlight Dinner and Ski Tour buffet dinner in the Base Lodge followed with a ski tour by the light of the full moon. The evening concludes with warm drinks & desserts back in the Lodge.

April 11, 2009: Moonlight Dinner and Ski Tour buffet dinner in the Base Lodge followed with a ski tour by the light of the full moon. The evening concludes with warm drinks & desserts back in the Lodge.
